There is a small ritual we have watched for years from behind the counter at C+. A guest arrives in Interlaken or Montreux, drops the bags at the apartment, and within the hour is standing in front of our baristas asking what is good today. Coffee is how people land in a new place.
So from today, if you are staying with Swiss Hotel Apartments, your first coffee of the day at C+ is on us. Every day of your stay. All you need is your keycard.
How it works
- Show your keycard. Bring your Swiss Hotel Apartments keycard to the counter at C+ Interlaken or C+ Montreux. That is the whole procedure. No voucher, no app, no code to remember.
- Choose your coffee. Espresso, flat white, cappuccino or a hand-brewed filter from the single origins on the bar that week. Your choice.
- Come back tomorrow. One coffee per keycard, per day, for the whole length of your stay.
Why C+
C+ is Coffee Switzerland, the specialty coffee house and roastery we founded in the same towns where Swiss Hotel Apartments began. We buy green coffee directly from producers, roast it ourselves in small batches, and name every coffee on the bar after a Swiss postal code. The 1260 Nyon in the picture above is a Colombian Geisha, honey processed, grown at 1,800 metres. It will not be there forever. The bar changes with the season, which is a good reason to come back each morning.
Why we are doing this
We have always believed a serviced apartment should feel like living in a place rather than visiting it. A free coffee is a small thing. But a daily visit to C+ gives our guests what a hotel lobby never can: a neighbourhood café, a barista who remembers your order by the second morning, and a reason to walk out the door before the day starts.
It also brings the two companies we have built in Switzerland together in the simplest possible way. Same team, same standard, one keycard.
Where to find us
C+ has two boutiques, in Interlaken and in Montreux, each a short walk from our residences in that town. Guests staying with us in Grindelwald are welcome at C+ Interlaken, half an hour down the valley by train. Opening hours and directions are at cplus.coffee.
If you are checking in this week, bring your keycard with you on your first walk through town. The first coffee is on us. So is the one after that.
